LUM Forum: Fear, Farce and Forgiveness

Ruminations and Perusals Regarding the Divisiveness in American Politics and Public Life

  • Do you wonder if the current state of affairs is just politics as usual or if it poses a real threat to our democracy?
  • What responsibility do we all share left, right, or center, for the fear mongering and enmity corroding and grinding the political process to a halt.
  • What are the possible consequences of inaction?
  • Are there strategies and coping mechanisms that will allow for reconciliation?
  • Sound interesting?

Then you will want to be sure to watch this edition of  LUM Forum.

Susan Brouillette, LUM’s new Director of Healthy Families and Sustainable Communities, presented Fear, Farce and Forgiveness; Ruminations and Perusals Regarding the Divisiveness in American Politics and Public Life on Wednesday, February 20, 2013.

Prior to joining the LUM staff in January, Susan served 26 years on the Indianapolis staff of U.S. Senator Richard Lugar.  She holds a Masters in Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis and is looking forward to ordination in the Presbyterian Church USA.  Susan and her husband Michael live in Lafayette and are co-owners of Interior Objects at Market Square.
